Planetary centrifugal vacuum mixer with touch panel and traceability
Thinky USA has released a new vacuum mixer, the ARV-310P. Its features are meant to enable uniform mixing and elimination of submicron-level air bubbles with improved functionality. Combining vacuum pressure reduction function with planetary rotation and revolution mixing enables efficient elimination of submicron-level air bubbles for general purposes. The machine was designed for the degassing of high-viscosity materials with excellent quality and traceability using the new LCD touch panel display.
New functions with the ARV-310P include touch panel display for easy operation, improved usability with more information on the display, real-time rpm and vacuum display, and ease of troubleshooting with specific error messages.
The online connection version is readily available and provides traceability available for each use, ability to program 20 recipes with online connection, operation/cancellation possible from the host, ability to record and output each second (step, time, vacuum level, speed), and alert history. The touch panel is disabled during online connection.
Thinky’s vacuum mixers, including the previous model ARV-310, are used in the battery industry for the following tasks:
- Mixing, melting, and dispersion of cathode and anode active material when developing lithium ion batteries.
- Dispersing, pulverizing, and deagglomerating electrode materials, such as LiCoO2, LiNi2, and graphene.
- Mixing bonding materials for attaching separators and electrodes.
Thinky mixers’ unique planetary motion can disperse materials evenly while removing bubbles, making it possible to reduce active materials and provide the same performance when manufacturing lithium ion batteries. This can greatly reduce the cost of manufacturing.
