Navya Academy by Insavalor launched for autonomous vehicle professions training
Navya and Insavalor, a subsidiary of INSA Lyon Research & Development, announced the creation of the Navya Academy by Insavalor.
Navya Academy by Insavalor combines Insavalor’s expertise in continuous professional development and educational engineering with Navya’s know-how in autonomous vehicles to offer a range of training courses for those who work in the new professions emerging from the industry.
Navya Academy by Insavalor is offering a range of training courses in the professions of shuttle operator, commissioning officer, supervision technician, and maintenance technician. The companies expect Navya Academy by Insavalor to eventually integrate a related skills certification program.
This partnership, resulting from several months of analysis work aimed at better focusing on activities and related skills for the implementation and use of autonomous vehicles, is part of the trend toward international development of the industry.
“For several years, Insavalor has been involved in supporting companies whose field of activity is undergoing changes. With the creation of Navya Academy by Insavalor, we bring our expertise to skills engineering, with the opportunity to put our methodologies into practice within a highly technological and innovative industry,” said Michel Descombes, Insavalor board member responsible for the project with Navya.
“This partnership with the subsidiary of INSA Lyon is a new and important step in the development of Navya. As a leading player in autonomous mobility, it is our responsibility to train professionals in these new fields who can contribute to the growth of these new solutions for smart and shared mobility. By facilitating transport, in particular, by reducing congestion in urban centers, we will improve our living conditions while continuing to raise our safety standards in a world in constant motion,” said Jérôme Rigaud, Chief Operating Officer of Navya.
