Mitsubishi Electric Corp. awards Cinemo with infotainment projects
Cinemo, a developer of multimedia playback, streaming, media management, connectivity, and cloud access middleware, announced that it is collaborating with Mitsubishi Electric Corp. (Melco) on several new infotainment projects. Cinemo's audio functionality will be included in Melco's new custom entry-level systems developed.
Additionally, with Melco's latest rear-seat systems powered by Cinemo, the system’s distribution of content is designed to offer users access to their local media as well as the ability to share and access content remotely.
"Over the past four years, we have been very fortunate to develop an extremely productive working relationship with Melco that has resulted in the design of inventive IVI connected systems," said Elif Ede, Vice President sales of Cinemo. "We are therefore delighted that Melco has again entrusted Cinemo as a partner and look forward to our future cooperation."
Cinemo's unified middleware solutions are reportedly CPU and operating system agnostic as well as optimized for low-power and low-footprint devices to decode, play, render, stream, manage, and index most files, discs, connected devices, streaming formats, and cloud content. The solutions are designed to be seamlessly integrated into entry-, mid-, and high-automotive/in-vehicle infotainment system head and rear-seat units as well as automotive apps.
