ACEINNA IMU sensors for tractor guidance
ACEINNA is a supplier of inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor guidance and navigation solutions. Headquartered in Andover, MA, the company provides microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)-based inertial modules for precision agriculture applications. The company’s IMU380ZA inertial sensing module is designed for such applications and features an MTBF greater than 50,000 hours, low power consumption, and a compact package that weighs less than 17 g (0.6 oz).
“Automated, self-driving tractors and machinery make farmers lives much easier, greatly improving their overall productivity and farming efficiency,” said Mike Horton, CTO of ACEINNA. “According to industry research, over 50% of farms are already using auto steering technologies, and that number is predicted to rise to 64% this year. The precision farming market is exploding—and is predicted to reach over $8 billion in market value by 2022.”
